Yes. All the time in elementary school. I know that was a long time ago but it shaped things for today. When we would go outside and play during school all the boys would go into the back field and play football but i wasn't allowed because I'm a girl. Even though back then, i bet i could have thrown just as good as them. Now probably not so much. And I think part of that is because i gave up trying to play. I accepted it as a boys game and no longer played once i hit about 6th grade. Now i don't even think about football all that much, because being told for so long that I couldn't just made me accept it and i guess believe that it really is just a boy sport.
Yeah but it was because of my age. Sometimes I get left out because I was too young, too short, or too small to do certain things like maybe ride a ride at the fair. It doesn't bother me now because I know why they put limits on but back then I hated it.
I have been made fun of because of my height. I'm also known as the smart person to a lot of people. I hate when I get something wrong and people act all surprised. Those are really the two things that peers make comments about.
