I don't know the best way to exclude someone but it might be by making feel like they are not wanted. Possible not talking to them , not inviting them to things, and other things I cant think of right now.
I think the best way to exclude someone from society is to have society shame them. If the person is deemed unacceptable in some way, they become the object of ridicule to society. This person is excluded from the group because they are a target. Treating someone poorly will make the person want to avoid you. They won't want to be a part of the society.
